Headley (calf) is back in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox, Newsday's Erik Boland reports.

Headley missed the last three games, but he ran on the field prior to Friday's contest. His calf inflammation seems to have been a minor issue, and he'll have some extra time to rest during the All-Star break.

Headley (calf) remains out of the lineup Friday against Boston, Wallace Matthews of ESPN New York reports.

Despite being out of the lineup, Headley was reportedly running in the outfield earlier Friday afternoon, indicating that he's making some progress with his injured calf muscle. It's still unclear if he'll return before the All-Star break, but the Yankees will turn to Cole Figueroa at third base again Friday in Headley's absence.

Headley (calf) is out of the lineup Thursday.

This was expected as Headley said he was unlikely to play Thursday after an MRI Wednesday revealed right calf inflammation. Cole Figueroa will start at third bast Thursday and Headley should be considered day-to-day.

Headley underwent an MRI on his right calf Wednesday that showed inflammation and would be surprised if he plays Thursday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Headley could be able to return Friday for the series opener against the Red Sox. If the Yankees feel like the injury is serious, he could rest through the All-Star break to return at full strength.

Headley went 1-for-5 Saturday with a solo shot, his eighth home run of the season.

The resurgence in his walk rate after his trade from the Padres last season hasn't carried forward into 2015, and Headley's .254/.307/.382 slash line on the season is decidedly mediocre. He'll still have some value hitting in a potent Yankees' lineup, but in shallower fantasy leagues there are probably better options available at third base.

Headley smashed his seventh home run -- and the 100th of his career -- as part of a 2-for-5 night in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies.

Headley is currently riding a six-game hitting streak, having scored once in every game in that span as well. His numbers on the whole are a down from his average production, as he owns a slash line of just .256/.304/.376, but the third baseman has been showing signs of turning it around of late.

Headley is out of the lineup Sunday agains the Tigers.

Headley hasn't received a day off since May 13, so the timing was likely right for a regular maintenance day, despite logging a multi-hit game in two of the last three contests. Brendan Ryan will take over at the hot corner, while Didi Gregorius bats second in the order.

Headley went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Tigers.

Headley continues to hit out of the two-hole with Jacoby Ellsbury on the disabled list and Brett Gardner bumped up to the leadoff spot. Though his overall line isn't great -- .254/.305/.367 -- Headley has collected six hits in the last four games and figures to remain in the lineup on a near-everyday basis.

Headley (groin) is in the lineup hitting second Saturday against the Orioles, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports.

He left Friday's game in the fifth inning after a bad hop on a grounder caught him in the groin area. However, it seems like a minor issue and he should be considered healthy moving forward.

Headley was 1-for-3 before being lifted in the fifth inning of Friday's game against Baltimore.

Headley took a bad-hop groundball to the groin area in the third inning. He remained in the game at the time, but was replaced in the fifth inning by Brendan Ryan. There was no indication that he suffered an injury that could cost him some time, but daily league players may want to check his status for Saturday's game.
