Posey is not in the lineup Monday against the Brewers.

Posey was expected to either be given Sunday or Monday off, and the rest day will end up landing on the latter, with Andrew Susac set to take over behind the plate. Look for Posey to be back in action during the second game of the series Tuesday.

Posey is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Rockies, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.

Andrew Sucac will man the backstop in the matinee of Saturday's twin bill as Posey takes a seat following 10 consecutive starts. Posey, who has hit safely in 21 of his last 22 starts dating back to Apr. 25, will presumably be back in there to face right-hander David Hale in Game 2.

Posey was at the epicenter of Friday's 11-run explosion against the Rockies, going 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBI.

Posey singled and doubled in the victory, extending his hit streak to 14 games. With a .311/.382/.477 line over 151 at-bats, Posey has again reaffirmed himself as one of the top fantasy catchers, not that there was ever much real concern that he'd be headed for a decline this season.

Posey had a big day at the plate in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers, going 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and his seventh home run of the season.

Posey is locked in right now, hitting .371 with three homers and 10 RBI over his eight-game hitting streak. He is currently on pace to hit 26 home runs this season, which would be a career-high for the former league MVP.

Posey went deep for the sixth time this season, driving in two runs in Friday's 10-2 win over Cincinnati.

Posey looks locked in at the dish right now, collecting two home runs on five hits while driving in six over his last three games. The Giants play two more games in hitter-friendly Cincinnati this weekend, so the fireworks may not be over quite yet.

Posey collected three hits, his fifth home run of the season, and all three of the Giants' RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Astros.

The former NL MVP put up an MVP-type performance Wednesday, but it wasn't enough as the Astros won 4-3. Posey hasn't gone on an extended tear at any point this season, but he has quietly put up top-five offensive numbers from the catcher position with a season slash line of .291/.373/.436 through 33 games.

Posey went 2-for-2 with three walks and three runs in the 6-0 win over Miami Friday.

This is a fantastic performance for daily fantasy and if you paid up to use him, you clearly did something right. With performances like this, Posey is still solidifying himself as the number one catching option in fantasy and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

Posey is out the lineup Wednesday.

With a day game following a night game it is no surprise that Posey will be given a day to rest. He is not only the best hitting catcher in baseball, but Posey also sees as much playing time as anyone at the position not named Salvador Perez, as the Giants have been giving him starts at first base when he is not slotted in at catcher.

Posey supplied all the offense for the Giants on Tuesday, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in the win over the Dodgers.

Posey has gotten off to a bit of a slow start in 2015, but his numbers (.263, three homers, 10 RBI) are still top-10 among catchers this season. His BABIP sits at an uncharacteristically low .262, so the batting average should rise, along with his run production as long as Nori Aoki (.392 OBP), Joe Panik (.342 OBP), and Angel Pagan (.389 OBP) continue to get on base in front of him.
