League (shoulder) was released by the Dodgers on Friday, Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish reports. League has been sidelined for the entirety of the 2015 season, and it appears the Dodgers have grown impatient with him. He pitched well with Triple-A Oklahoma City recently, allowing just one earned run over 5.2 innings of work. He has now become a free agent, and will be available to sign elsewhere.

League (shoulder) was designated for assignment Thursday, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports. League was already on the 60-day disabled list, but had been on a rehab assignment early June and reports indicate that there was no room on in the bullpen for him. He didn't make an appearance in a Dodger uniform this season due to shoulder inflammation.

League (shoulder) tossed a pair of scoreless innings Wednesday and could join the Dodgers on their current road trip, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Leauge has allowed one run in 8.2 innings in his rehab appearances and should be back in the next few days.

League (shoulder) has progressed his rehab to Triple-A Oklahoma, where he tossed a scoreless inning (two hits) on Sunday. League has already pitched in back-to-back games, so he could be activated any day.

League (shoulder) pitched in back-to-back games for the first time Tuesday and now has five consecutive scoreless innings for High-A Rancho Cucamonga. That's right Dodgers fans, like it or not, League will be back to torture you soon enough, likely with a week or two.

League (shoulder) tossed his fourth consecutive scoreless inning for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Monday. He's allowed four hits, but also hasn't walked a batter while fanning three. Look for the Dodgers to try and get him in back-to-back games before a return to the big club is considered, but League is getting closer.

League (shoulder) is slated to make another rehab appearance either Wednesday or Thursday of this week, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports. League made his rehab debut with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday, where he allowed one unearned run and one hit over an inning of work. While it's a good sign that League is already scheduled to make another appearance, it's unlikely that he'll rejoin the Dodgers before mid-to-late June.

League (shoulder) will pitch in a minor league game Sunday as part of a rehab assignment, the Los Angeles Times' Dylan Hernandez reports. This will be his first appearance in a minor league game this season, and it is a big step in the recovery process for him. He will still probably be out until at least mid-to-late June, and won't pitch in high-leverage situations when he does return to the Dodgers' bullpen.

League (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. It's only an initial step in the recovery process for League, who was placed on the 15-day DL in early April due to a shoulder impingement before ultimately being shuttled to the 60-day DL. He's not expected to be an option out of the Dodgers' bullpen until sometime in June at the earliest.

League (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Sunday. League's move to the 60-day DL comes as no surprise given his extended absence still ahead of him. The move was purely procedural, as the Dodgers needed to open up a 40-man spot for Scott Baker, who's expected to start for the club Sunday.
