Yunel Escobar (shoulder) is on track to the activated from the disabled list on Friday. That's the first day he's eligible. Escobar went 1-for-4 with a single and a run for High-A Charlotte on Tuesday in his second rehab game. He played all nine innings at shortstop and didn't have any issues, so the Rays getting him back on Friday shouldn't be a problem.
