Anibal Sanchez (shoulder) threw 71 pitches Monday in a minor league game. Sidelined with right shoulder inflammation, this was his first game action since March 12. Sanchez allowed a run on seven hits and one walk over four innings while striking out four. Assuming he bounces back OK, he lines up for an exhibition start against the Nationals on Saturday, setting him up to pitch third game of the regular season next Thursday against the Royals.
