Angels avoided arbitration with RHP Fernando Salas by agreeing to a one-year, $870,000 contract. Salas was arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. Acquired from the Cardinals in November via trade, the right-hander has posted a 4.36 ERA over the last two seasons.
