Matt Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Rangers. He's tallied mulit-hit games in four of St. Louis' last five. Carpenter is 30-for-86 (.349) in June with nine RBI and eight extra-base hits, including two homers. The young second baseman's monster first half includes a .322/.403/.472 slash line, though fantasy owner are probably a bit disappointed by his lack of power and speed. Carpenter has six homers and one steal in 286 at-bats.
