Astros avoided arbitration with RHP Bud Norris by agreeing to a one-year, $3 million contract.
It's a big raise for Norris, who was a first-time arbitration-eligible player. The right-hander put up a disappointing 4.65 ERA in 2012 but struck out nearly a batter per inning. He could be the team's Opening Day starter in 2013.
