Manny Machado spent more than 24 hours in a hospital last month due to a case of meningitis.
Machado has since made a full recovery and should be perfectly fine for the start of spring training next February. The 20-year-old batted .262/.294/.445 with seven home runs and 26 RBI over his first 202 major-league plate appearances. He'll start at third base in 2013.
