Alcides Escobar left Thursday's game against the Tigers after seven innings with a right shoulder strain.
Escobar injured the shoulder after trying to making a diving play at shortstop. He hopes to play Friday, so it doesn't sound that serious, but the Royals could rest him to be on the safe side.
