The Mets are considering releasing Young, ESPNNewYork.com reports. While a move may not be imminent, the Mets are debating internally whether or not to release Young and bring Matt den Dekker up from Triple-A Las Vegas. Young has hit just .205/.283/.346 this season and has only about $2 million remaining on his contract.
