Carl Pavano's agent, Dave Pepe, told Jon Heyman of CBS Sports that his client is aiming to return next season. Pavano fell while shoveling snow in his driveway in January and ended up needing his spleen removed. "Carl will not be physically able to play this year as he recovers from his spleen removal and the complications that followed," Pepe told Heyman via text message. "His hope is that he can give it a try next year." Pavano had a 6.00 ERA in 11 starts with the Twins in 2012 and turns 38 next January. Assuming he's physically able, he will almost certainly have to accept a minor league deal.
