Yorvit Torrealba has opted for free agency. Torrealba was removed from the Brewers' 40-man roster and refused an outright assignment to Triple-A Nashville. The 34-year-old backstop batted just .227/.293/.330 with four homers and a .623 OPS in 218 plate appearances this season between the Rangers, Blue Jays and Brewers, but he shouldn't have a problem landing a spring training invite somewhere.
