Perkins is expected to work in back-to-back games Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a final spring appearance April 4, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. It looks Perkins will be fine for Opening Day barring a setback of some sort. Coming off a bit of a down season in which he finished with a 3.65 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a career-high seven blown saves, he'll look to return to his form from the previous three seasons. Perkins remains firmly planted in the closer role for the Twins, and an injury would probably be the only scenario in which he's pried from it.
