Kendrick agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the Rockies on Tuesday, Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reports. The right-hander can also earn an additional $500,000 if he reaches 190 innings, a number he surpassed for the first time in 2014. Kendrick hasn't turned in an xFIP under 4.00 in any of his eight major league seasons, and there's very little to suggest a skills breakout could be coming in his age-30 campaign. While he does own a slightly above-average 46.1% groundball rate for his career, Kendrick will make for an unappealing option even in NL-only leagues.
