Punto agreed to terms on a contract with the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. The details of Punto's contract are unclear at this point, but it appears he will head to the desert in Arizona to play in the desert. The 37-year-old figures to face an uphill battle for a roster spot with the D-backs, who have depth at his main position (second base) with Aaron Hill and Cliff Pennington. Punto will look for a strong spring training for an opportunity to nab a bench spot in the infield, but there's no guarantee he will be on the roster out of spring training.
