Uggla agreed to terms with the Nationals on a minor league deal, which includes an invitation to spring training. The veteran played 48 games for the Braves last season, hitting a disappointing .162 with 10 RBI and 40 strikeouts before being released in mid-July. He was picked up by the Giants shortly after but the struggles continued, as Uggla went 0-for-11 at the plate with six strikeouts in just 11 at-bats. The 34-year-old will head to spring training with the Nationals in hopes of winning a roster spot and rejuvenating his career.
