Rowen was released by the Rangers on Friday. It should only be a matter of time before the 26-year-old right-hander latches on elsewhere. While he struggled to a 4.15 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in eight appearances with the big club last season, Rowen has a 1.72 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 3.50 GO/AO in the minors, including 2.39 ERA and 1.01 WHIP at Triple-A.
