At the start of each fantasy season, all team owners gather for the draft. In professional sports, the draft is a process by which teams select players not contracted to any team, often from colleges. Similarly, in fantasy sports, the draft is a process by which teams select available players. Usually, fantasy drafts follow a randomly generated snake order. |
|
A snake pattern is a draft order that is reversed during even-numbered rounds. For example, first-to-last during round 1, last-to-first during round 2, first-to-last during round 3, etc. Some keeper leagues choose to un-snake the first few rounds. |

Fleaflicker lets you conduct your draft online using the live draft software. The live draft looks and works much like a chat room. You can communicate with the rest of your league and see which team owners are online. You can also view the rosters of all the teams in your league (as they are drafted), a round-by-round summary, and a visual representation of the draft order during each round. |
|
Sharing a Computer
Two owners can share the same computer. Launch the draft window as the first owner, then sign out and launch the draft window as the second owner. |
|
Other Draft Options
If you prefer to conduct your draft in person and import the results later, that is also an option. The commissioner can import draft results any time before the draft by clicking Import Rosters from the Commish Options subtab (under the League tab). |
Some owners prefer an auto-draft. Fleaflicker doesn't explicitly support an automated draft. At least one owner needs to be present for the draft to take place. However, if one owner signs on during the live draft and sets his status to away, the computer will auto-pick for that owner and all owners that aren't present. |
