Keeper vs. Redraft

Redraft leagues are leagues that start over every year—owners draft from a player pool consisting of all players at the start of each season. Keeper leagues allow each team in the league to hold on to a number of players for the next season. The number of players can vary from league to league. Teams in keeper leagues are allowed to trade future draft picks.

Keeper Rules

An owner in a keeper league can choose to keep any number of players up to the allowable maximum. There is no penalty for keeping a player. You do not lose a draft pick. If you choose not to keep the maximum allowable number of players, you will be awarded an extra draft pick at the end of the draft. All players not designated as keepers by the start of the draft will be released as free agents that are eligible for drafting.
