The Boston Herald reports Patriots CB Ras-I Dowling's hip pain was the result of a torn tendon in his leg. An MRI taken after Dowling's condition failed to improve during the Patriots' Week 7 bye made the discovery. The injury does not require surgery, and Dowling is expected to be 100 percent healthy in roughly a month. He had been battling the injury since Week 2. Dowling should get a chance to start in 2012, but will enter the season as a huge injury risk.
